Job Opportunity: Young Talent Development Professionals – 6 Positions

Job Purpose
Rikolto in Tanzania is seeking qualified young professionals in the fields of Agribusiness and Talent Development to support the implementation of the FICAP – Water for Resilient Communities Project, Nature Fundi Project, and the Growing Together Project.

These positions are designed for recent graduates who will be placed at our Mbeya and Iringa offices. Interns will support operations and programme implementation, offering technical assistance to ensure the projects achieve their intended outcomes. Through this opportunity, Rikolto aims to provide hands-on experience through practical mentorship and learning by doing.

Reports to: Programme Coordinator
Supervised by: Senior Agribusiness Advisor, Programme Coordinator
Geographic Scope: Iringa, Arusha, and Mbeya

Key Responsibilities

Interns will support day-to-day operations and programme implementation across Mbeya and Iringa. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Taking minutes and drafting reports during stakeholder and coordination meetings.
• Supporting monitoring and documentation of changes and innovations in business models at the partner level.
• Collaborating with engaged Business Development Service (BDS) providers to identify and strengthen business relationships between farmers, BDS providers, and buyers.
• Supervising and monitoring tasks performed by local coaches and community facilitators at the cluster level.
• Compiling training attendance records for local business coaches and participants.
• Supporting BDS providers to ensure quality and relevant training sessions are delivered and followed up.
• Representing Rikolto at stakeholder meetings and events as directed by the supervisor.
• Building and maintaining trust-based relationships with local authorities, cooperatives, private sector actors, and other key stakeholders.
• Working closely with the M&E Specialist to collect and synthesize programme data.
• Assisting with data analysis in collaboration with the M&E Officer as required.

Expected Outputs

• Tangible innovations to improve programme implementation.
• Timely, high-quality monthly reports submitted to supervisors.
• Strengthened business relationships between farmers and other system actors.
• Documented success stories and lessons learned at the cluster level.
• Improved functionality of local business coaches and community facilitators through effective coaching and mentorship.
• Accurate and timely M&E data to support decision-making.
• Strengthened communication with programme stakeholders.

Education and Experience

Applicants must:

• Be graduates from 2022 onwards.
• Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Extension, Co-operative Management and Accounting, Agricultural Economics, Business Economics, or any other related field relevant to community mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, business strategy, finance, marketing, or governance.
• Reside in or be familiar with the intervention areas (Mbeya, Iringa, and Arusha) — note that interns must secure their own accommodation.
• Be highly committed, disciplined, and able to work actively with diverse stakeholders.
