Established in 1969, Kilombero is one of Arusha’s most important urban markets, serving over 15,000 consumers daily and hosting around 500 vendors, the majority being women and youth. Despite its importance, the market faces challenges such as outdated stalls, poor drainage and waste management, and lack of storage facilities.
This project seeks to upgrade the vegetable section of the market, setting a model for improved infrastructure, food safety, and waste management across Arusha’s urban markets.
To engage a qualified contractor to upgrade the vegetable section of Kilombero Market in line with the approved designs and Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
