The assignment will provide insights on food availability, accessibility, affordability, food flow, and value chain governance across maize, rice, sunflower, and common beans. Duration: 30 working days (May–June 2025). Qualifications: Strong expertise in food systems (preferably in Tanzania), stakeholder mapping, and multi-stakeholder platforms. Rikolto in East Africa is seeking a qualified consultant to investigate the role of local governments in promoting healthy and sustainable school meals in Mbale, Uganda, under the SchoolFood4Cities initiative. The research will analyze governance challenges, pilot policy interventions, and provide insights for scaling school feeding programmes across Africa.
