Call for Consultant: Food Environment Analysis & Mapping of Commodity Platforms Rikolto in Tanzania is seeking a consultant to conduct a Food Environment Context Analysis and Mapping of Commodity Sector Platforms in Dodoma, Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Iringa, and Mbeya under the Grow Together programme. The assignment will provide insights on food availability, accessibility, affordability, food flow, and value chain governance across maize, rice, sunflower, and common beans. Duration: 30 working days (May–June 2025). Qualifications: Strong expertise in food systems (preferably in Tanzania), stakeholder mapping, and multi-stakeholder platforms. Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills required. The mentorship will focus on business development, financial literacy, compliance, market access, and investment readiness. Key Responsibilities: Guide enterprises in business planning, financial management, and investor readiness. Support business registration and compliance (BRELA, TRA, LGAs). Facilitate access to finance, markets, and partnerships. Conduct business visits and submit a final report by April 20, 2025. Qualifications: Degree in Business, Agribusiness, or related fields. 3+ years in business consultancy, incubation, or donor-funded programs. Strong digital communication and reporting skills. Call for Consultant – Research on Local Government & School Feeding in Mbale

Rikolto in East Africa is seeking a qualified consultant to investigate the role of local governments in promoting healthy and sustainable school meals in Mbale, Uganda, under the SchoolFood4Cities initiative. The research will analyze governance challenges, pilot policy interventions, and provide insights for scaling school feeding programmes across Africa. Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Assess the role of local governments in school food programme governance. 🔹 Develop and implement pilot initiatives in Mbale. 🔹 Generate empirical data to inform policy recommendations at national and regional levels. 🔹 Facilitate knowledge-sharing among city stakeholders.
