Do you have the impression that 2019 just flew by? So do we! However, looking back at it, a lot has happened for Rikolto in East Africa. We have reached the mid-point of our programmes funded by the Belgian cooperation in Eastern Uganda and northern Tanzania, and we expanded our rice programme to Iringa in Tanzania. We had our successes and our less successful ventures, but there's one red thread: We're always learning.
In this report, we have set out some great achievements and learnings made in our horticulture and rice programmes in northern Tanzania and Eastern Uganda. To scale up these interventions, our team has been successfully engaging other donors in 2019 for three brand new programmes starting in 2020.
